Macclesfield 1261 Festival and Parade Day
Martina and I were commissioned by Macclesfield Town Council to take wetplate collodion portraits for the 1261 Festival and Parade Day.
The festival celebrates the town's charter year, and this year had a Summer Holiday theme. The 2025 festival took place on Saturday, 23rd of August and featured over 40 free activities across 25 venues, including workshops, exhibitions, crafts, yoga, performances, talks, circus skills, stories, and entertainment. Activities started at 10am with the Parade passing through the town centre at 11am.
Blessed with good weather, we took over 30 tintype portraits from 12am and worked through until gone 3pm. All in all, it was a great day and nice to meet and talk to so many people.
