Record Keeping

Earlier this year I wanted to reprint some of my gum bichromate images for an exhibition. Gum, as you may know, is a finicky process at the best of times so careful note-taking is essential to get consistent images. My record-keeping left a lot to be desired consisting of a box containing scraps of paper and more than a few half-used notebooks, needless to say, I couldn't find the notes I needed. So I decided to design my own range of photography record books for film users and alternative photographers.

For film photographers, I consulted with a few people and came up with five log books, 35mm, medium format, large format, The Zone System and darkroom. The resulting 6" x 9" log books contain all the important fields to log technical information plus notes.

For alternative photographers, I have created record books for gum bichromate (up to 5 layers), cyanotype, Na2 platinum palladium, salt, kallitype, albumen and ambrotype/tintype plates

All of my books are available on Amazon worldwide.
